The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.

As the Events Associate, you will manage and facilitate the logistics and brand image of all fundraising and corporate events for The Arc and its related organizations. This position will also support the coordination of key meetings out of the Office of the CEO and work cooperatively with various internal and external stakeholders to execute a minimum of fifteen events annually, ranging in size and external reach. The Events Associate will support a variety of engagement activities, community events tied to The Arc’s engagement strategy, as well as recurring meetings such as quarterly large group meetings, board meetings, and special events.

Acting as the on-site event lead for all events, the Events Associate will coordinate all day-of logistics as well as ongoing vendor relations, volunteer management, event design, and marketing and communications suggestions. Maintaining The Arc’s inventory of event supplies, supporting the coordination of event-related communications, and coordinating special donor and campaign events are all essential functions of the role.

The ideal candidate will be someone able to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment while managing a multidimensional workload. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, though a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is strongly preferred. Three years of event coordination experience is required, and experience as the lead event designer/coordinator is strongly preferred. 

The salary is $65,000.00 with paid professional development and continued education, as well as a competitive benefits package.
