The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.

As the Grants Manager, you will be responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals and reports for The Arc’s enterprise that fully meet funder guidelines and criteria. You will serve as the enterprise’s primary grant writer, manage funder relationships, facilitate compliance reporting, and support special initiatives.

A deep understanding of grant processes is necessary as the Grants Manager will be responsible for leading grant proposal development and submissions, researching new funding opportunities, maintaining a master calendar of grant deadlines, and taking responsibility for meeting high standards of grant effectiveness, timeliness, and completeness. The Grants Manager will draft progress reports and targeted program updates, assemble all necessary supporting materials, perform research and data-gathering externally and internally, and maintain and build strong relationships with current and future funders.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in, grant writing or grants management, though a master’s degree and/or Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) certification. Candidates must have proven success in meeting or exceeding fundraising goals, and have strong administrative, writing, and editing skills.

The salary is $85,000.00 with paid professional development and continued education, as well as a competitive benefits package.
