November marks the start of the season of thanksgiving, and this fall, we have much to be thankful for. As we take a moment to reflect, here’s the top five things we’re grateful for this year:
Our colleagues – our team is the backbone of The Arc’s success. From our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to operations, programs, and administration, The Arc has incredible leaders at every level of our organization striving to facilitate better services and create more opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live the lives they choose.
Our donors – from Family Navigation to innovation, none of it would be possible without the loyal support of our generous donors. Our Children, Youth, & Their Families services are all funded through individual donations and grants. We are grateful for your support in making sure that families everywhere have access to these critical services.
Our community – our work relies on strong working relationships with so many members of our community. From lawmakers to local businesses, the support we receive from the community is critical in creating equity and access for people with disabilities.
Growth – over the last five years, The Arc has experienced significant growth in services, leadership, outreach, and infrastructure and is now creating more than 3,000 opportunities for people to live, work, and connect with their communities.
You – whether you are a Catalyst Club member, advocate, or just believe that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve choice and opportunity, we are grateful for your support every day of the year.
