What is a Direct Support Professional? A DSP actively supports a person with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, work, and connect in the community. This is more than just a caregiving role – as a DSP you support people in being as independent as possible, making their own decisions, and supporting them to live the life they choose for themselves.
At The Arc, we give you the resources you need to do the work you love. When you join The Arc as a Direct Support Professional, you have access to:
- Helpful technology to make recording activities and completing reports easier.
- A company vehicle to provide safe and reliable transportation throughout the community that doesn’t put wear and tear on your personal car.

- A $2/hour weekend differential for working weekend shifts Saturday at 12:00am to Sunday at 11:59pm.

We support our employees’ educational and professional goals. After 6 months of employment, receive up to $2,000 each year towards your professional development goals and $3,000 each year toward tuition reimbursement for higher degrees related to your role at The Arc.

Our retirement savings plans are 100% vested from day one—so the money you save for retirement is always yours and accessible to you. The Arc matches your contributions dollar for dollar up to 3%, and matches fifty percent for 4% and 5% contributions.
