The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc), a nonprofit committed to transforming lives for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and Michele Tharp, Board Chair, are pleased to welcome Ananta Hejeebu to The Arc’s Board of Directors.
Currently the Managing Partner of Corporate Development and Integration for Thrive, a global IT services firm, Ananta is a US Army veteran with a thirty-year career as a strategic business leader supporting start-ups, small businesses, and large corporate enterprises.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ananta to our Board,” said Jonathon Rondeau, President & CEO of The Arc. “As a leader and entrepreneur with years of experience managing organizations experiencing rapid growth and change, he will be an asset to our leadership. His forward-thinking outlook is exactly what our board needs as our organization continues to grow.”
Ananta is also a civic leader. He is heavily involved in his community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lutheran Social Services of Maryland. Previously, he was a member of the Howard County Board of Education and the Leadership Howard County Board and is always looking for new ways to give back.
“I look forward to serving on The Arc’s Board of Directors and contributing to the important work this organization is doing every day,” said Ananta. “The Arc’s approach and commitment to innovation is absolutely vital for making sure people with IDD have access to high-quality services and the opportunity to live the life they choose.”
Ananta earned an M.B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University. He is also the parent of an adult child who self-directs his life with The Arc as his Fiscal Management & Counseling Services (FMCS) provider.
